Our Work

Hospital System Website – Content Strategy and Development
PinnacleHealth, Harrisburg , PA
Challenge: With its major web site redesign already in progress, the hospital’s marketing staff was overwhelmed by the enormous content requirements – they needed help with organization, research, writing and social media content.
Solution: With lots of experience creating content for major hospital sites, we were able to jump in midstream and take control of the flow of content. We helped with site mapping, research and medical approvals, writing and editing copy to create a comprehensive, accurate site that meets all stakeholder needs. Another cool thing we do: Provide research-based, health content you haven’t seen before for each user’s personalized home, called the Daily Spoonful — it keeps visitors coming back for more!

Hospital Site Refresh/Redesign
Stamford Hospital, Stamford, CT
Challenge: Redesign hospital web site to highlight key services while updating & refreshing content and expanding the main site.
Solution: We created a new site map to accommodate the expansion, assigned a team of writers to interview physicians, gather facts and update copy. The new site features crosslinks, linking keywords to news, events and other relevant topics and is search-engine optimized as well. Nine microsites showcase specific departments and service lines, with the entire site now reflecting current information and marketing priorities.

Hospital Website Medical Services Content
Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, CT
Challenge: Greenwich Hospital embarked on a web site re-launch with tight timing, a need for all new medical services content and high standards for usability and medical staff involvement – it was more than the marketing staff could do on their own.
Solution: We took over all research and interviewing, writing and editing, delivering accurate content, professionally researched and written, organized to reflect the page template and approved by the medical staff – needing only to be dropped into the CMS. (We do that too.)

Employee Metabolic Syndrome Program
Health Solutions, Owings Mill, MD
Challenge: The health screening company has developed a new program to help corporate employers reduce risk for metabolic syndrome and diabetes among employees and asked for help developing an effective communications strategy.
The solution: We consulted on positioning and naming, created a promotional strategy to generate awareness and enrollment among employees and developed a customized series of messages (email, text and print) to support participants through all phases of the 12-week program. What’s special about this – we helped Health Solutions name the program and also tweak our messaging for each market, in this case male factory workers – check it out Lazy Boy!

Employee Health and Wellness Program
Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY
Challenge: As part of its employee health & wellness program, the hospital wanted to promote good health habits and attention to well-being through the stressful holiday season.
The solution: We created custom holiday-themed messaging (email, text) for three topic areas – food and fitness, family health and stress management – nudging employees to stay healthy and providing creative, fun and uplifting advice on how to do this. For instance … here’s a tip on getting through the party season slim & trim!

Childhood Obesity Social Media Program
Intermountain Hospital System, Utah
Challenge: LiVe is a program promoting teen health and fitness used by all 23 hospitals in the system and also syndicated nationally, based on the 8 healthy habits for a lifetime of good health. How to keep social media channels populated with fresh content so kids and parents will stay engaged?
Solution: Every month we deliver a brand new set of messages (email, Facebook, Twitter) featuring a new tip with a creative twist – that is always medically validated. This is a really fun job!
